With Valentine’s Day falling on a Friday this year, surprise your loved ones by whisking them off to the start of a romantic weekend. Lawry’s The Prime Rib invites you to a gourmet evening in candle-lit, elegant setting over a gastronomic menu that features notes of edible blossoms and luxurious concoctions.

Recently named as the “TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2019 Winner”, the Prime Rib establishment has created a magnificent menu to celebrate the most romantic day of the year. Not only that, it has planned a three-night Valentine celebration for couples from 13-15 February. It includes a special Valentine six-course dinner and a bottle of Freixenet Ice Cava Especial NV for takeaway with every pair of set menus enjoyed.

Love at First Bite

In the spirit of love, the use of elaborate ingredients such as Grand Marnier, pomegranate and rose buds in the menu will engage all your gastronomical senses. The happy couple will be greeted upon arrival with a seasonally changing amuse-bouche of Grilled Hokkaido Scallop, Smoked Salmon & Baby Octopus, served with a romantic touch of an edible rose.

Also included in the menu are the rich and indulgent Creamy Crab Bisque with Grilled Tiger Prawn; a refreshing Smoked Duck Breast Salad that combines both sweet and tart flavours; and of course, the restaurant’s namesake, the Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef, which is aged for up to 28 days and slowly roasted on beds of rock salt to force the juices inward and ensure uniformly juicy and flavourful meat; or instead opt for the seafood entrée – the Broiled Atlantic Lobster Tail with Red Mullet Fillet will be served as an alternative to the signature main course. The perfect Valentine’s evening would not be complete without the Chocolate Hazelnut Praline Feuilletine, a sumptuous rich & dark chocolate praline cake with crunchy crêpe confection.

For those who aren’t able to get away for the actual day, the special Valentine menu at Lawry’s will also be available on 13 and 15 February to please your other halves when they’re least expecting it!

Cupid Strikes, Again!

Lawry’s Singapore will also be bringing an extra dash of magic to the occasion with their team of little cupids on their toes all night, capturing photos from the romantic dinner and sending them digitally to all couples for a night to remember.

To sum up the celebration, take home a bottle of delicious bubbles for an extra refreshing and relaxing evening. This sparkler has fine bubbles, with peach, ripe pear and an enticing hint of wild flowers; the palate’s crispness leads on to a creamy and gently sweet finish. For perfect enjoyment, serve it in a large glass over ice, or try mixing it with your choice of fruits to enhance its intensity.
